  2. It’s Handful of peanuts.
  3. You need 1/2 TSP of Cummin seeds.
  4. Prepare 1/2 TSP of mustard seeds.
  5. It’s 1/2 TSP of chana dal.
  6. Prepare 1/2 TSP of Ural dal.
  7. It’s 5-6 of brinjals.
  8. It’s of Oil to fry.
  9. It’s of Salt as per taste.

  1. First wash the raw rice and boil it. Keep it aside to cool once done..
  2. Meanwhile wash the brinjals and cut into long thin slices. Always make sure you keep the slices in water to avoid getting blackened..
  3. Take a bigger kadhai, add oil and first fry the peanuts well. Take them out. Now add jeera, Rai, chana and urad Dal and fry it in low simmer. You can add the brinjal slices once the other items are fried golden. Add a pinch of salt and let it cook for 10 mins..
  4. Now add around 3-4 TSP of the vangi bath masala powder to it. Mix it well. Now add the rice to it and mix well..
  5. Keep it on low simmer for 2 mins. Let the flavor add to the rice. It's ready. Serve it hot..

Vangi means brinjal/eggplant/baingan and bath means rice. Vangi bath is a rice variety which can be served with raita (mosaru bajji in kannada) and peanuts.
